Yoga for Smiles 2019:

Update

Thanks to all those who helped make Yoga for Smiles 2019 a success. We raised $570.00 for Smile Train. That’s enough for 2 new smiles! Join us again next year. As of January 2020 our fundraising efforts have reached $10,916.00.

Smile Train has invited yoga teachers around the world to bring more smiles onto the faces of children burdened with cleft lip and palate by hosting yoga classes as fundraisers for Smile Train. Gloria has been teaching yoga since 2007. In 2010 she started the Holistic Yoga Smile Train Fund to honor her students. A portion of the proceeds from classes go to Smile Train. So of course when she was invited to participate in this global challenge, the choice was obvious.

The mission of Smile Train is focused on solving a single problem, cleft lip and palate. Cleft palate is a devastating affliction when not repaired. Clefts are a major problem in developing countries where there are millions of children who are suffering with unrepaired clefts. Smile Train can perform repair surgery for as little as $250.00.

It’s time again to make plans to attend Yoga for Smiles.  Here is this year’s schedule:

Wednesday, June 5 & 12, 2019 ~ West End United Methodist Church

  • 7 PM ~ Christian Yoga

Thursday, June 13, 2019 ~ Seven Lakes Great Room
